- Are you curious about what it’s like to breathe underwater?
You can try scuba diving even if you aren’t quite ready to plunge into a certification course: The Dive Into Scuba program is for you!
- Take a Gentle Dive into SCUBA and support a great cause.
Dive Into SCUBA is a one-time intro class so you can experience what it’s like to put on scuba gear, plunge into the water, and breathe beneath the surface!
When you register for the Dive Into SCUBA class, your registration fee is donated to the ALS Foundation.

June 1st 10:00AM thru 4:00 PM

Rain date June 2. If June 1 fills, a second class may be added on June 2.
- What will I be doing?
Spend approximately 20 minutes experiencing the joy of Scuba Diving in a pool under the supervision of an experienced instructor and other trained divers. You’ll learn a few basic safety steps and spend time underwater playing games and learning how to “talk” to your classmates
- What is the cost for Dive into SCUBA?
The minimum requested donation* is as follows for each age group. Of course, you may make a larger donation, if ALS is a cause that is important to you.
- Adults age 15+ $25.00
- Teens age 10 -14 $15.00
- Kids* age 8-9 $10.00
*bubblemaker group uses surface supplied air, not full gear
- What do I need to bring?
All you need is a swimsuit, towel, and cash or a check made payable directly to the ALS Mid-Atlantic Association. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Class time slots are 30-minutes each

Time slots begin at 10:00 AM and end at 3:30 PM on June 1, 2024

For Smaller Kids Scuba Learner: Bubblemakers
* Bubblemakers will be given the opportunity to breathe underwater with surface-supplied air rather than full scuba gear (if your child is younger than 8, but comfortable in shallow water, we can accommodate).
Details:
• Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be provided while you wait for your pool session.
• Depending on # of participants, your time in (and under) the water will last approximately 20 minutes after a brief intro.
• The Dive Into Scuba introduction course will be conducted by a fully certified and insured PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and other certified assistants.
• Staff is fully vaccinated, and pool is chlorinated.
• Event held in a private inground saltwater pool in a wonderful neighborhood
